End global deforestation.
Due to the electronic revolution, a reduction in paper consumption was predicted. However, that did not happen. Currently, it looks like the demand for paper will even double by 2030.
Important facts one should know:
• To produce 1 ton of paper, one needs 17 large trees, 26,000 liters of water, 4,000 kWh of power and 240 liters of fuel.
• Nearly 45% of corporate paper is thrown away the same day it is removed from the printer.
• On average, one person produces 160 kilograms of paper waste in their lifetime.
• 5 liters of water are needed to produce one sheet of A4 paper.
• One tree produces oxygen which 3 people can breathe.
• About 93% of paper is made from trees.
• Over 50% of corporate waste is paper.
Why should we replace the paper receipt with an e-receipt everywhere?
Receipts kill trees and harm the environment. As much as 50% of the forests on our globe have already been cut down, and as much as 63% for paper production.
• Demand for US receipt paper is 640,000 tons per year. This is equivalent to 9,600,000 trees cut each year just to produce paper receipts.
• The amount of CO2 emitted during the production of one ton of receipt paper corresponds to the amount of one car carbon emission when driven all year round.
• Receipt paper must travel a long way before reaching the cashier’s counter, leaving a carbon footprint.
• The mere fact of generating a receipt for scanning, as well as sending it by e-mail, affects energy consumption, which contributes to the problem of climate change.
• Receipt paper (thermal paper) is not recommended for recycling. It is recommended that thermal paper receipts be shredded rather than recycled to reduce the release of BPA to the environment.
• Receipt paper (thermal paper) is harmful to people. Thermal paper is coated with a phenol layer called bisphenol A (BPA). BPA has been shown to cause reproductive defects in fetuses, infants, children and adults, as well as malignant, metabolic and immune diseases in rodents
In solving the above challenges, technology like E-receipt, come in handy, CE Technology prepared an application called MyWallet for this purpose.
We believe that companies can effectively contribute to reducing the amount of harmful waste in the world and grow. There is no reason to further delay this process. Therefore, we are accelerating our efforts to bring our application to the market soon. We invite you to join our movement, be one of the first to download the MyWallet app.
The MyWallet app is part of a larger whole, which includes, among others, a fiscal cash register application that can be installed on a computer or smartphone, a terminal for accepting cashless payments and a system for P2P transactions, i.e. transferring funds to other users of the application in blockchain technology.
The introduction of compliant electronic receipts is promoted by the Ministry of Development. This is also supported by the Ministry of Finance.
